There’s something to be said about having your head in the clouds, as long as they’re the kind produced by Berlin based artist Dr.Nojoke. For his first release under “Klangscheiben”, the doctor weaves his signature plethora of handmade sounds into a four-track composition fittingly dubbed Clusters & Clouds. A leader in this new wave of music, Laux’s is a particular breed of minimal that you have to think about to truly understand. Listen at a distance, and it’s the kind of skittering beats that have earned Laux titles like “micro symphonist.” read more
